Before Katrina, this was one of my favorite places on the Gulf Coast. The last time I ate there, I can definitely see the food has changed a bit. However, it was still very good. I've always enjoyed their steaks as well as their crab claws. The price is definitely have gone up compared to then, but times do change. If you have never eaten here, I definitely recommend at least trying it out.
Had lunch here today, the atmosphere was great. Our server, Kelly was attentive, and courteous. We had the $10 lunch special which was generously portioned, and cooked to perfection, as well as being plated beautifully. The cocktails were tasty, and properly poured, not too strong, even though the servers pour them during the day. Overall I would certainly recommend dining with them.
The restaurant is located in Bay St. Louis on the Mississippi Gulf Coast about an hour's drive east of New Orleans. Very good French Creole cooking. Take U.S.90 along the coast for a more scenic drive. The town was blown and washed away by Hurricane Katrina but is making a come back with a new protected harbor, shops and restaurants. Brother-in-law stoically poses while wives shop.
Slow service. My glass was broken and dripping. The food was over priced, under seasoned and greasy.
It was a very enjoyable experience. I had a fried oyster Po Boy. The bread was fresh and flaky. The oysters were fried perfectly, soft on the inside crisp and crusty on outside. Thanks.
