Dr. Shakir treated my son very well, and did her due dilligence (and actually employed the use of a stethoscope!) in examining my five year old boy when he was ill, who was ejected from the hospital after two and a half minute hands-off examination and lengthy patronizing explanation, was diagnosed with "a cold" by the attending.
I don't know what the issues actually are with the negative reviewers, but I come from a medical family. My father was an Internist, and my mother and one sister were nurses, so I know a thing or two about doctors.

Turns out, he had a bacterial upper respiratory infection, which I already knew because he caught it from me, and required antibiotics to be treated in a timely and effective manner.
